Playing Golf in the Virgin Islands
There is more to the Virgin Islands than aquamarine waters and pristine beaches - Tee-off
the Caribbean way! Lush greens, beautiful flora with sun and sand the whole year round.
Combine that with a variety of choices and you have the makings for a fantastic vacation.
Carambola Resort Par-70 Golf Course
The Buccaneer Hotel offers an 18-hole course located next to the shore of the Caribbean
Sea. Mild hills and lush greens set against the sea shore is a perfect setting for a
relaxing game. There is a golf pro on the premises full time for the benefit of the guests
and visiting non-guests. The day can start with breakfast on the terrace overlooking the
Christiansted Harbor with a full 18-hole play to follow.

Designed by Robert Trent Jones, this course has been awarded a gold medal by GOLF magazine
as the finest resort course in the world. This four-star rated course by Golf Digest is
full of water hazards of spring-fed lakes. There are nearly 100 bunkers, four sets of tee
markers and rolling hills that makes for a course that all levels of skill may challenge.
There is a club house, practice putting green, driving range and pro shop.
The Mahogany Run Golf Course in St. Thomas, US Virgin Islands
For those who wish a little variety and/or who are not staying at a major resort there is
the Reef Club. This consists of a 9-hole mini-course in the northeastern part of St.
Croix. One may enjoy an afternoon of putting or put the driving range to use. Golf is for
everyone!
This 18-hole, 70-par course was designed by Tom Fazio. The course has rolling hills,
tropical valleys, lush greens and has just undergone a multi-million dollar renovation.
The course over looks the Atlantic ocean and gives one a clear view of the British Virgin
Islands. There are DCI brand rental clubs available and three-day golfing packages are
offered. This course is famous for its spectacular Devil's Triangle. This is a combination
of three holes made so challenging - the pro shop offers a prize for anyone who completes
them without a penalty shot.
